I am Catherine Alderman, DSS Facility License #: 013422372,the proud founder and visionary leader of Cathy’s Village, a play-based In-Home Daycare and Preschool Program. Creating this program has been a lifelong dream, driven by my passion to design a space where children can blossom and grow. With over 50 years of experience working with young children, I am dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for their development.
My background includes extensive experience in the Education Sector, backed by degrees in Early Childhood Development and Early Childhood Intervention from Chabot College. I’ve had the privilege of working with the Fremont Unified School District for many years and operated a successful program in Fremont before establishing Cathy’s Village at its current location.
In addition to my professional journey, I am an adoptive parent of four children, complemented by three biological children. Family plays a crucial role in our program, and I am fortunate to have my husband, Tim, as a strong support and team member of Cathy’s Village. Tim’s skills extend to building whatever our program needs, and his unwavering support ensures the children flourish under his care.
Another valuable member of our team is my daughter, Shaileyna, who provides additional support when available. Together, we are committed to creating an enriching and supportive learning environment for your children at Cathy’s Village.
