Hello and welcome! I\u2019m Catherine Alderman, the proud founder and visionary behind Cathy\u2019s Village (DSS Facility License #: 013422372). For over 50 years, my passion for nurturing young minds has driven me to create a play-based in-home daycare and preschool\u2014a place where every child can blossom in a warm, supportive environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Me<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

My lifelong commitment to early childhood education has been enriched by extensive experience in the field. I hold degrees in Early Childhood Development and Early Childhood Intervention from Chabot College, and I\u2019ve had the privilege of working with the Fremont Unified School District. Before establishing Cathy\u2019s Village at our current location, I successfully ran a program in Fremont, always with the goal of making a positive impact on every child\u2019s life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Family is at the heart of our program. As both an adoptive parent of four and a mother of three biological children, I understand the importance of a loving, community-based approach. I\u2019m fortunate to have my husband, Tim, as an essential team member\u2014his hands-on skills ensure our environment is safe and welcoming. My daughter, Shaileyna, also supports our efforts whenever she can, reinforcing our family-centric philosophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
