To make sure our classrooms remain safe, comfortable, and nurturing for all, we follow clear guidelines to determine when a child should stay home. These guidelines are based on state health standards and best practices for childcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your child shows any of the following, we ask that they remain at home (or be picked up if symptoms appear during the day):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Unable to participate comfortably<\/strong> in classroom activities due to illness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Needing more care<\/strong> than our normal teacher-to-child ratio safely allows.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fever:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Oral temperature at or above <strong>100.4\u00b0F<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rectal temperature at or above <strong>101.4\u00b0F<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Armpit temperature at or above <strong>99.4\u00b0F<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Signs of severe illness,<\/strong> including:\n<ul>\n<li>Unusual lethargy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Uncontrolled coughing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inexplicable irritability or persistent crying<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Difficulty breathing or wheezing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any other unusual signs for your child<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Uncontrollable diarrhea.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Vomiting:<\/strong> Two or more episodes within a 24-hour period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Persistent abdominal pain<\/strong> lasting more than two hours, or accompanied by fever or other symptoms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rash with fever or behavior changes.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2728 <em>These guidelines are in place to protect your child, their classmates, and our staff.
