- We will be having our annual picnic in the back yard. We will be service BBQ chicken. Bring your favorite side and drinks. The date is July 27, 11:30 to 2:30pm. Hope you will join us. If the weather doesn’t co-operate, we’ll setup inside. Hopefully the black berries will be ready for you to pick and take home to enjoy. Let me know asap if you will be attending so I have enough chicken for everyone to enjoy please.
- Remember my vacation is July 3rd through July 20th.
- Please have your child in light long sleeve shirts, and pants instead of shorts. Otherwise, please apply sunscr3een as we are going outside in the mornings before it gets too hot. At the least, faces and ears burn pretty fast.
- Some students may need their extra cloths checked to be sure they still fit, please.

- Parent Day out is Sunday June 29th, frrom 10am – 4pm, please be on time with picking up as I have a 5pm outing planned.
- My summer vacation this year, as always, is July 3rd through July 20th.
- I have ordered the preschool program for the older students and it should be coming soon. The students have been so excited about “School” that I needed to add another curriculum. I will be keeping the toddler program as well to be sure I have enough for them to do. The toddler program has lots of fun crafts. I can’t wait to see what the preschool program has as it is play based as well. The students ask all day long for more school. It’s exciting as we find more things to do.
June: Mr. T’s Corner
Recently one of our children was critical of not having “school” to attend to that day. I had decided to take a day to allow morning exercise and play outside since the weather has finally turned warmer.
The enthusiasm for Ms. Cathy’s new teaching was obvious. While she leads, I take daycare children teaching on my own to ensure their social skills outside the classroom are also developing. I position a chair in the play yard so that I can be present to catch more and more behavior so they never develop into issues later on, which keeps me focused.
What Ms. Cathy has done is to take the time to find new and excellent teaching materials for your child, regardless of their stage of development. Some arrived that was extra. It seemed a shame to me to have to dispose of this otherwise excellent material, but we just don’t have space in our garage.
What did arrive seemed to inspire, as our plaque on the outside front suggests, the older children. Their enthusiasm was contagious, the younger children stop fidgeting (to a certain extent) and pay attention. They may not have understood but certainly got the message and picked it up quickly. Amazing.
To the parents of part-time students, on those days, I say your child not here to witness exciting learning events, it is that simple.
